1st Harvest

I am very excited. I got my first harvest from the vegetable garden a few days ago - string beans!

I let Olivia helped me picked the string beans off the plants. Here she is with the harvest.

The more you picked the string beans, the more they grow. So I think we'll be eating string beans for quite a while. Hubby does not like string beans but I told him to eat them or else....hehe.

Other than stir fry, I don't know what other ways to cook them. Any ideas?

beachlover - I'm not sure. Perhaps my soil is not as rich as yours.

Fry with omelette, or you could chop them up and add into porridge or fried rice?

We usually just steam ours and eat them plain as a side dish. BUT, I've added them to sauteed garlic an olive oil before, and that was pretty good too.

Omellete hides it up pretty well...else cut it up for patties...meat loaf...and with sauteed garlic is the BEST!

Maybe hubby diesnt like it coz he hasnt eaten it Chinese style!
